Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of BroodDay, a beehive inspection and honey tracking application operated by VajgrtLabs ("we," "us," or "our"). By using BroodDay or creating an account, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

1. Description of the Service

BroodDay is a progressive web application that helps beekeepers track their apiaries and colonies. Features include:

• Apiary and hive records, including hive type, status, and queen details (breed, marking color, year).
• Fast inspection logging: queen and egg sightings, brood pattern, temperament, frame counts, honey stores, feeding, and actions taken.
• Varroa mite count recording with an automatic mites-per-100-bees calculation and a 3% action-threshold flag.
• Treatment records with withdrawal end dates, and honey harvest records (Pro).
• Statistics, a beekeeping guide, data export, and — when you sign in — cross-device sync.

BroodDay is used with a free account (one universal login for everything VajgrtLabs) or in demo mode. Your records are stored on your device; when you are signed in, they also sync to our servers so they follow you to any device. Inspection photos are stored only on your device and never sync.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use BroodDay. If you are under the age of majority in your jurisdiction, you may use the service only with the consent and supervision of a parent or legal guardian, who agrees to these Terms on your behalf.

3. Accounts and Your Responsibilities

• Accounts are optional for the free, on-device app. If you register, you must provide a valid email address and create a password, and you are responsible for keeping your login credentials confidential.
• Your VajgrtLabs account is one universal login used across our products; Pro subscriptions are per-app and do not transfer between apps.
• You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account. Notify us promptly at [email protected] if you suspect unauthorized access.
• Each paid subscription may be used on up to 3 devices. We may ask you to remove a device before adding another once the limit is reached.
• You agree to provide accurate information and to keep your account details up to date.

4. Plans, Free Trial, and Billing

BroodDay offers the following plans (prices in USD):

• Free — up to 5 hives with full inspection logging, voice field mode, CSV export, plus the complete beekeeping guide.
• Free full-Pro trial — 14 days of full Pro access at no charge. No payment method is required to start a trial.
• Pro Monthly — $5.99/month, billed monthly.
• Pro Yearly — $49.99/year, billed annually.
• Pro Lifetime — $119.99 one-time payment for lifetime Pro access.

Pro plans include unlimited hives and treatment and harvest records. CSV export is included free on every plan — your records are always exportable.

• Payments are processed securely by Stripe. We never see or store your full card number — see our Privacy Policy.
• Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled. By subscribing, you authorize Stripe to charge your payment method on each renewal date.
• If you purchase a Pro plan, your paid billing period starts immediately — the free trial does not stack onto or extend a paid subscription.
• Prices may change in the future. If they do, we will notify you in advance and any change will apply from your next renewal — never retroactively. Existing subscribers keep the price they signed up at for as long as their subscription stays active.
• Taxes may apply depending on your location and will be calculated at checkout.

5. Cancellation

• You can cancel a monthly or yearly subscription at any time using the self-serve Cancel Pro button in the app's subscription settings. No need to contact support.
• Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period. You keep full Pro access until the paid time runs out; it is not cut off early.
• Pro Lifetime is a one-time purchase, not a subscription — there is nothing to cancel.
• Our refund terms are described in the Refund Policy.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use BroodDay for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable law or regulation.
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems, other users' accounts, or our infrastructure.
• Reverse-engineer, scrape, or copy the service in bulk, or interfere with its normal operation.
• Share your account credentials to circumvent the device limit or plan restrictions.
• Upload content that is unlawful, abusive, or infringes the rights of others.

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, with or without notice, particularly where necessary to protect the service or other users.

7. Educational Content & Treatment Disclaimer

Colony outcomes depend on weather, forage, bee genetics, disease pressure, and your management. BroodDay does not guarantee colony survival, honey yields, or any other result.

8. Availability and Changes

We work to keep BroodDay available and accurate, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted service. We may change, suspend, or discontinue features with reasonable notice where practical. Records you keep on your own device remain yours; we recommend exporting a JSON backup of important records from time to time.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, VajgrtLabs is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of BroodDay, including colony losses or lost honey production. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us for BroodDay in the 12 months before the claim.

10. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will revise the "Last updated" date above and, for material changes, notify you in the app or by email. Continued use after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.
